Mystery Book - Fantasy #101

Something is hunting men in the jungle. The villagers blame her father. Her nightmares suggest something far more terrifying.

In nineteenth-century Sri Lanka, a young woman has always lived on the outskirts of village society.

Her father is a traditional demon-priest—a man once respected for protecting the community from supernatural forces. But as British colonial influence spreads and old beliefs are condemned, the villagers begin to fear the very family they once depended upon.

Then the attacks begin.

Men are being viciously assaulted in the jungle by something no one can explain.

Whispers of demons and witchcraft spread quickly.

And her father becomes the prime suspect.

Determined to prove his innocence, she begins investigating the attacks herself. But each answer leads to another disturbing question—especially when terrifying dreams begin showing her things she shouldn't possibly know.

Then there are the missing pieces of her own past.

A mysterious illness.

A night she cannot fully remember.

And her mother's desperate warning that no one must ever discover what happened.

Perhaps the monster she's searching for isn't hiding in the jungle after all.
