YA Mystery Book - Fantasy #101

A dying mother. A realm consumed by darkness. And a deadly competition where immortality is the prize.

Nine years ago, war tore one young woman's family apart.

Now darkness is spreading across the mortal realm.

Beautiful, ravenous demons roam the land, hunting humans and consuming their souls. And the person she loves most—her dying mother—is running out of time.

There may be only one way to save her.

Win immortality.

Armed with crescent blades and trained in an ancient magical art, she enters a legendary competition where mortals must survive a series of brutal trials for the chance to enter the immortal realm.

The prize could save her mother's life.

But first, she has to stay alive long enough to claim it.

Other competitors want her dead. Dark secrets surround the trials. And a powerful, dangerously attractive rival keeps appearing whenever she needs him most.

He says he wants to protect her.

But he refuses to reveal why.

As attraction grows and the trials become increasingly deadly, she must decide whether to trust the mysterious stranger who keeps saving her—or accept that he may be the most dangerous competitor of them all.
